Elizabeth Hillen Weintz Photo Album

Peter Krieger arrived from Hesse Darmstadt, Germany to the United States in July 1849 and was naturalized in U.S. District Court, Cuyahoga County, Cleveland, Ohio on Sep 1, 1856. His occupation was a farmer in the 1860 census and a shoemaker in the 1850 & 1870 census. The spelling on half of his documents was with the ‘e’ first, or Kreiger. He lived at 300 St Clair Ave. in 1870, No. 360 in 1874, and remained at 456 E. Madison from 1876 until his death.

Anna Maria Krieger married John Hillen (1835 Holland – ?)about 1860. (There is no record of John’s death or burial location found as of this entry.) They had four children: Elizabeth (1862-1943) Weintz / John); John Henry (1863-1945)who married Lizzie Boehn; Jacob (1866-1947) who married Ernestine Haak; and Frederick W. (1869-1959) who married Mollie Gensler.
