Barto Zellers Linn Reed Album Pennsylvania
$1,000.00
Barto Zellers Linn Reed Album Pennsylvania. There is a CDV of Burmese Prince Maung Shaw Loo (1839-1929) in his native dress. See below about him. He also signed this CDV. This one is different than all the others that came up in the search. Same clothing as the one with a chair, but this one has the decorative woodwork.
Maung Shaw Loo (1839 – 1929), who was Bucknell University’s first international student (Class of 1864) and who was the first Burmese native to study in the United States. After his graduation from the University, Shaw Loo was admitted to the newly organized Charity Hospital Medical College in Cleveland, Ohio, where in 1867, he obtained his medical degree. President Andrew Johnson was introduced to Dr. Shaw Loo and later provided a personal recommendation for him to the King of Burma, who not only allowed Shaw Loo to practice medicine in Burma but appointed him as a Prince.
